The Thomas “Tommy” J. Yewcic Award is an annual honor presented by the Touchdown Club of Arlington, named for the late Tommy Yewcic—a celebrated Boston Patriots player (1961–66) and long-time Club member—who embodied the Club’s mission of promoting youth welfare through sports.

What the Award Represents

• Purpose: To recognize outstanding volunteerism and community service benefiting Arlington youth, especially in athletics.

• Namesake: Tommy Yewcic was a former professional football and baseball athlete and dedicated Arlington resident. The award honors those who follow in his footsteps by giving back to the community
