The Frederick V. Ostergren Award is the most prestigious honor given annually by the Arlington Touchdown Club. Named in memory of Frederick V. “Fred” Ostergren—a beloved coach, mentor, and former Arlington High School athletic director—this award recognizes two outstanding senior student-athletes who exemplify the very best of Arlington High School: one male and one female.

Fred Ostergren dedicated his life to inspiring young athletes both on and off the field. His unwavering commitment to sportsmanship, integrity, and academic achievement helped shape generations of Arlington student-athletes. This award continues his legacy by celebrating seniors who carry forward those same values.

• Be a graduating senior at Arlington High School

• Have participated in at least one varsity-level sport

• Demonstrate strong academic performance

• Exhibit outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and community involvement

• Serve as a positive role model to peers and younger students

• A personalized engraved plaque presented at the annual Athletic Awards Night

• Public recognition by the Arlington Touchdown Club and the Arlington High School community

• Their name permanently inscribed on a commemorative display honoring past winners

• A small monetary scholarship in support of their post-secondary education (subject to annual availability)
