To honor the long term dedication of Ralph C. Canniff to the Touchdown Club of Arlington, the Club has created the Arlington Touchdown Club Ralph Canniff Scholarship. Ralph joined the Club in 1981, served as its President from 1992 to 1993 and continued serving it thereafter as its informal executive director. Ralf died on January 31, 2008. The Club and Ralph’s brother, Donald Canniff, sponsored a $1,000.00 scholarship which was won by Justin Connor on the recommendation of the Arlington High School Guidance Department at the annual High School Awards Night June 4, 2009. The Club is in the process of raising $10,000.00 to contribute to the Town of Arlington permanent scholarship fund in honor of Ralph.

The Patrick A. Campobasso/Arlington Touchdown Club Scholarship Award was established to honor Dr. Campobasso for his dedicated years of service to the youth of Arlington as well as the community as a whole.
Upon the death of Dr. Patrick A. Campobasso in 1995, The Doctor Patrick A. Campobasso/Touchdown Club of Arlington Scholarship resulted from the generous donations of the Touchdown Club and Campobasso family members and friends, who wished to dedicate a scholarship in the name of this remarkable Arlingtonian. Doctor Campobasso, a charter member of the Touchdown Club, spent most of his career working on behalf of Arlington’s children. He served more than 50 years as the physician for Arlington High’s sports teams and for many years was the doctor for the Greater Boston Hockey League.
The scholarship is awarded annually under the town’s Dollars For Scholars Program to deserving Arlington High School students showing outstanding academic and athletic abilities. The award is chosen by the Arlington Scholarship Committee and given at the Awards Night at Arlington High School.
