The Arthur J. McAvoy Award recognizes outstanding high school students who distinguish themselves not only through their accomplishments, but through the character, integrity, and leadership they demonstrate every day. Presented annually by the Touchdown Club of Arlington, the award celebrates young people who make a meaningful difference within their schools and throughout the Arlington community.

The Arthur J. McAvoy Award carries forward a tradition of recognizing the values that strengthen our schools and community. Each year, the Touchdown Club of Arlington honors students who lead by example, support those around them, and demonstrate a commitment to something greater than themselves. Through this award, the Club celebrates the next generation of leaders while preserving a lasting legacy of character, service, and community.

Recipients are selected by the Touchdown Club of Arlington McAvoy Award Committee from nominations representing four schools: Arlington High School, Arlington Catholic High School, Boston College High School, and Minuteman Technical High School. Nominees are evaluated based on exceptional character, demonstrated leadership, involvement within their school, and positive contributions to the greater community.
