The Touchdown Club of Arlington
Supporting Arlington’s Youth Through Sports, Scholarships, and Community for 82 Years.
The Touchdown Club of Arlington is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth across Arlington, Massachusetts through athletics, education, and community engagement.
Founded in 1946, the Club has grown from a small group of local sports fans into a respected community organization that supports all Arlington youth sports, from kindergarten through 12th grade. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or out in the community, we believe that character is built through opportunity, mentorship, and team spirit—and we work year-round to provide just that.
What We Do
Fundraising & Donations
We raise money to support youth athletic programs, provide equipment, and reduce barriers to participation across all sports in Arlington.
Scholardships & Awards
Through annual recognitions like the Arthur J. McAvoy Family Trust Award and the Thomas “Tommy” J. Yewcic Award, we honor student-athletes and community leaders who embody excellence, service, and integrity.
Community Events
From awards banquets and alumni gatherings to community drives and support meetings, we bring Arlington together to celebrate and uplift its youth.
Why It Matters
For many young people, sports are more than just games—they’re platforms for growth, discipline, friendship, and resilience. The Touchdown Club exists to ensure every Arlington student has access to these life-shaping experiences, regardless of financial circumstances.
